DESCRIPTION
One 1979 GMC Sierra 7000 series truck with standard transmission, gasoline engine, 26,047 kms, formerly used as a Fire Department Tanker vehicle, not licensed or inspected for the road as of the end of January 2002. Vehicle comes with a 1000-gallon water tank, and pump is not included.

Submissions must be received at the Town Office, 609 River Valley
Drive, Grand Bay-Westfield not
later than January 31, 2002 at 11:00 a.m. |
| 4.

Bidders shall be solely responsible for the delivery of their bids
in the manner and time prescribed.
|
| 5. | All bids shall either be mailed or delivered personally to the office of the Town Manager whereupon |
| they will be dated and time stamped. BIDS WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED
BY FAX. It is the responsibility of the bidder to ensure their bid
is in the possession of the Town Manager or delegated staff member on or
before the latest time stated in the tender call documents. A tender
shall be deemed to have been received when the envelope has been stamped
with the time and date of receipt.

Bids received after the time and date specified shall be rejected.
|
| 7. | Information concerning the vehicle is available from the Grand Bay-Westfield Volunteer Fire |
| Department, 609 River Valley Drive or by calling Dan McCoy, Fire
Chief at (506) 738-6421.

| 8. | The vehicle is located at Grand Bay-Westfield Fire Station No. 2, 293 Nerepis Road, and will be sold on |
| an "as is, where is " basis. Successful bidder will be responsible
for removal of vehicle. The vehicle is required to be removed within
2 weeks of awarding the tender.

|
| 9. | Viewing of the vehicle may be arranged by calling Dan McCoy, Fire Chief at (506) 738-6421, from |
| January 25th – January 30th.
|
|
| 10. | The successful bidder will be required to pay HST on this purchase. The offered price shall |
| INCLUDE tax. Provision will be made to specify the amount
of HST in the proposed price.
|
|
| 11. | Payment for the vehicle shall be made by Certified Cheque payable to the Town of |
| Grand Bay-Westfield or Cash.
|
|
| 12.

The Town reserves the right to accept offers in its best interest.
|
| 13.

The above vehicle is AVAILABLE for IMMEDIATE purchase.

| 14. | The purchaser shall be responsible for all costs related to the transfer of ownership from the Town |
| to the successful bidder.
|

| 15.

THE HIGHEST OR ANY BID NOT NECESSARILY ACCEPTED.

| 16. | Bids will be opened publicly in the Boardroom, Grand Bay-Westfield Centrum, 609 River Valley Drive |
| immediately following the Tender Closing.
|
|
| 17. | As part of the tender submission, a bid deposit equal to 5% of the Total Bid Price shall be included |
| with the tender in the form of cash, money order or certified cheque
payable to the Town of Grand Bay-Westfield.
|
|
| 18. | Failure of successful Bidder awarded the tender to complete the sale within two weeks of the award |
| will result in the forfeit of their 5% bid deposit and another bidder
will be awarded the purchase.
|
|
| 19. | All bids shall be valid for 30 days from the tender closing date. |
