In recognition of Heritage Week 2011 the Town of Grand Bay-Westfield will be displaying New Brunswick Heritage information on our website www.town.grandbay-westfield.nb.ca during the period of Feb. 14^th – 21^st. A link to the Virtual Museum of Canada’s exhibit on New Brunswick: Our People, Our Stories will be provided on our home page to share New Brunswick’s historic timeline. In recognition of the International Year of Forests, this year’s theme for Heritage Week is Celebrating Forests for People. In recognition of the importance of our local heritage the Town of Grand Bay-Westfield Tourism Committee with financial support from the Government of New Brunswick will be embarking on a 2011 Heritage Project to register local sites of importance on the New Brunswick Register of Historic Places and the Canadian Register of Historic Places.
