TENDER CALL
ROADWAY
CONSTRUCTION
Sealed Tenders properly marked as to contents and bearing the title of the Work addressed to the undersigned will be received until 11:00 A.M., local time, June 30, 2010.
The Work consists generally of the construction of approximately 2.3 kilometres of roadway construction and include the following approximate quantities: excavation and embankment of approximately 33,000 cubic metres of unclassified material; 17,500 cubic metres of pit run gravel for roadway base; 3,500 cubic metres of crushed gravel for roadway subbase; 960 lineal metres of reinforced concrete or ribbed PVC storm sewer pipe ranging in size from 300 mm to 600 mm in diameter and 475 metres of 200 mm diameter ribbed PVC storm sewer complete with precast concrete structures; 830 lineal metres of 250 mm diameter and 1280 lineal metres of 300 mm diameter polyvinyl chloride sanitary sewer pipe complete with sanitary manholes; and underground conduit and bases for future traffic lights. Particular Specifications may be obtained from the Town of Grand Bay-Westfield, P.O. Box 3001, 609 River Valley Drive, Grand Bay-Westfield, N.B., E5K 4V3 OR FROM Dillon Consulting Limited, 186 Adelaide Street, Saint John, NB, E2K 1X1 upon payment of FIFTY DOLLARS NON-REFUNDABLE (which includes applicable HST). A Bid Bond or Certified Cheque, payable to the Town of Grand Bay-Westfield, in the fixed amount of TWO HUNDRED AND FIFTY THOUSAND DOLLARS ($ 250,000.00) must accompany each Tender. Tender Documents will be on display at the Construction Association Offices in Saint John, Moncton and Fredericton. Tenders will be opened publicly at the Town Office as soon after the Tender Closing as possible. The Town of Grand Bay-Westfield reserves the right to reject any and all tenders and also reserves the right to not necessarily accept the lowest Tender. The Government of Canada and the Province of New Brunswick are contributing funds to this project.
