EARTH WEEK APRIL 19^TH TO 25^TH

EARTH DAY APRIL 22^ND

Residents (young children to seniors) are asked to recognize Earth Week in Grand Bay-Westfield by participating in litter clean up on Saturday April 24^th. This project will benefit the environment and our community. We commend Jillian Breen for suggesting this worthwhile project. The litter pick up will begin at 10:00 am with participants meeting at the River Valley Community Center (Arena) to receive garbage bags. The cleanup will occur along River Valley Drive beginning at the Arena heading north along Nerepis Road. Please bring your gloves and wear bright colored clothing so you can easily be seen along the roadway. The Town Works Department will begin pick up of the filled garbage bags starting at 12:00 noon. Participants are asked to register for this event as each participant will receive a free hot dog and drink at the Arena Canteen at 12:00 noon and be eligible for prize draws.
