Restart A Life - AED Awareness Program

Brundage Point River centre

Sunday, May 9, 2010

2:00 pm – 3:00pm

The New Brunswick Heart and Stroke Foundation, in cooperation with the Town of Grand Bay-Westfield’s Tourism Committee, will be holding a Restart-A-Life / AED Awareness Presentation and Demonstration at the Brundage Point River Center, 4 Ferry Road, Grand Bay-Westfield on Sunday, May 9, 2010 from 2:00 pm to 3:00 pm. The goal of the Restart-A-Heart, Restart-A-Life initiative is to improve the survival rate of sudden cardiac arrests by placing more Automated External Defibrillators (AEDs) in public buildings and to provide proper public training. Research shows AEDs, when used with CPR, can improve cardiac arrest survival rates from 5 percent to over 50 percent if delivered in the first few minutes. Come on out and see how easy an AED is to use and how important these life saving devices are in your community. Two CPR Anytime Kits will be available as door prizes so don’t forget to fill out you ballot on the way in.

Please register by 12 noon; Friday, May 7, 2010
